Current Status of the Hartz-4

As we recall, in February last year, the Constitutional Court examined the magnitude of benefits Harz-4, especially for families with children, and demanded the government to make changes because the status quo against the German constitution.

During this time, Government made the following:
- abolished the payment of pension contributions for the recipients of the Harz-4.
- expanded the list of assessed income deductible benefits.
- in particular, the list now includes Elterngeld, allowance for parents of infants. Previously it did not accrue, and the benefit of the Harz-4 at the expense of not declining. This is a direct violation of the Constitutional Court, which primarily affects children and families with children.
- reduced to 80% allowance for adults living with parents, including adults and people with disabilities.
- increased the overall size of the allowance ... at 5 euros per month. (Totally incomprehensible measure - to spend some money money from the Treasury only to the fact that the people came to the irritation).

Thus, the government apparently does not intend to revise the Harz-4 and provide put citizens under the Constitution a living wage. On the contrary, provides new deterioration.

In North Rhine-Westphalia Faction Linke in Parliament filed a statement to convey the innovations in the Harz-4 for a new examination of the Constitutional Court. For this statement voted also ruling in Vietnam red-green coalition, the SPD and the Greens, and the complaint to the Constitutional Court was filed.
